The most popular mopar in Japan

Hi guys,
The staff of Japanese mopar shop said the recent most popular mopar is '68 Dodge Charger in Japan.

I am surprised, with the little roads and garages, that the 68 is the favorite.  I would have guessed 66 or 67.  I lived in Yakuska for 2 1/2 years and saw a few full sized american cars but not many.

With such tight roads, I would have thought an 86 Charger would have been #1 

Used to be, if a car had rust, it could NOT be driven on public roads. That must have changed, or the mother lode of rust-free Mopars are overseas

Ps, on some long lost thread,(Moparts? Here?) an American tourist found a rusty 70 or 71 Barracuda rusting away. took a picture iof it, left over from one of our servicmen, I guess.

there was a member from japan ,  had a 69 white with a black of blue stripe running over the top  on the car from memory

OK put on your thinking cap...     On the facebook "Charger owners"  page.. he posted Pics of a street in Japan - full of Mopars.. looks as though he owns several incl. a '68 Charger, and that's what I was referring to, besides welcoming him, hard to figure i know.. but make the leap.

I'm so sorry, I had left this thread.
When I went to mopar shop in Tokyo, the staff said '68 Charger is the most popular. about 10 years ago, Roadrunner, AAR cuda and Challenger were popular in here.
of course I like Dodge Charger because I'm one of the Dodge boys!!so I wanna know which model year is popular in US.
