Ive got a 69 Charger and the guy before me put a 400/727 out of a early 70's charger. Im pulling it out of the car and I need to get rid of it, I was hoping to get a few bucks for it. Put it towards body parts or 440 block. Whats a guy to post it for? Any of you guys interested? I need to get the numbers off of it and see exactly what year its out of this weekend.
Anyways, thanks!

Got anything on the vin pad?? I sold my 727/400 (late model so out of nothing special) for something like 400$ for the pair. If its from a 73-4 charger and it has a vin stamped on than to someone with the car that came out of or to someone whos looking for a year correct engine than it might be worth a bit more.

400 Blocks, hands down, are stronger than 440 Blocks if you are contemplating a build up later on ?

Depending upon year and casting number, a few hundred bucks, but I've seen 400 "230" Blocks go for $500 by themselves !
Only wimps wear Bowties !

What part of the country do you live in? If I build a 440, the later block is what im looking for.

I may be interested in the 400 block.  Where do you live?  I am in the Marine Corps and stationed in NC.  I just found out I have  383, when teh guy that sold me the car thought it was a 400.  I am somewhat bummed that my plans for a 451 stroker are now out of the window.
