not much to post still saving for a few key parts I need, but trying to cure rust problems without tools on hand at home, decided to take my fenders into work and get them sandblasted and threw some primer n paint on em, put em in black to PURPOSELY show flaws, cuz they are seriously rough, but I plan on buying new fenders at some point maybe next spring so I'm not worried about it, also I plan to sell these to recoup some money when I buy new ones, so I want them to show the flaws so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting instead of bondo filled crap.

Charger D100 my right front fender had dents in the same section in the top. I don't blame you to for wanting to cut and run! I am a fair bodyman and spent 40 hours to get the dam thing straight! Used every trick I know and never got it perfect.

Got it close and said &^%* and :paintingpink: it. I know it not right but no one has ever says a thing about it. More than likely they don't realizes there is a body line there anyway.  :scratchchin:

I wished AMD was around then!

Glad you kept the Charger as well, Cuda Ken

General's are cool cars, but DO NOT put a supercharger on it.  Some guy has one on here and it looks utterly ridiculous...

damn Kudaken,  glad I know i'm in good company....spent a lot more than 40 hours on my fender, still isn't perfect, but also said *(&() it and painted it anyway, it had delayed my project for over 2 years.  I'm only missing 3 inches of body line on the front fender.  AMD is always an option in the future.

I'm going factory Y3 with a Hot Rod Black Hood and a black tail stripe, only thing General about it are the wheels, but even now the more I think about it Im wanting to do factory style steel wheels maybe I'll get a set of 10" wide steel for the rear for slicks

Very cool  :popcrn:

Just wish I had your welding talent, but talked my boss into ordering me a welding hood so I can learn and practice on breaks at work (lots of scrap we build semi trailers) went big though Miller Digital Elite Series, I've welded maybe a hour and a half total in my entire life.. just in the last 2 weeks haha the veteran welders are really encouraging there, one guy that's been there for a long time thinks he can get me welding better than 60% of the guys in no time...

Proper equipment makes a huge difference.  I look at some of the first welds I did with the $40 welding helmet and then compare to where I am today...  To be honest, you can't weld very well when you can't see very well.   A good helmet alone will make your welding better.   Have fun and practice with different thicknesses and types of metal.

Baldwinvette77

NICE!, Welding isn't the hardest part, I think setting up the welder is more difficult, Gotta make sure your wirespeed, Power level, and gasflow are all suited for the thickness of steel you are working on, and your environment, you'll need more gas if you are working outdoors opposed to indoors., So you'll get it, If i can, Anyone can

So finally doing something I should have done A LONG TIME AGO, since I cant use air tools, etc. (no compressor/ no truck or trailer to tow to someone that has one either) I had to resort to rust converter and sealer primer for my bare metal stuff that's got surface rust, I just did around the windows, passenger side, and roof today, I really want to use a palm sander on the driver side before I hit it cuz the surface rust has a bit more coverage on that side

**sorry bout the poor quality of pic #2**
