Anyone know if it's possible to change an oil pan gasket on a '76 Power Wagon without hoisting the engine?  It's a 400 with column shift.  Don't want to pull it apart then find out I can't put it back together.

I haven't done it but I believe it can be done. I can get to all of the bolts on my Ramcharger's (small block and Dana 44) fairly easy. There's quite a bit of room under there.

Thanks for the reply MoparSam.  I can get to my bolts pretty easy as well.  I was more concerned with being able to drop the pan far enough to slide it out before it hits the k member.

Ah got ya. If nothing else jack the engine up just enough for clearance.
