engine to trans brace

I cant understand why the engineers at Mopar would change the length of this brace from one small block to another. the one in the pic is off my 318 and doesnt fit the new 360. go figure.

Does anyone know where i can find one of these to fit a 360/904? did 360/904 combos come with this brace?
Is there a part number for this brace? do I even need to use this brace?

It seems the 70 - 318/340 same as the 71 318/340/360 are the same except for a different left side number in 71. It does not state what auto trans so I can only guess the struts were the same on 904 and 727. Never looked at a 904 but I can confirm the 727's had them for sure. 70-71 parts page shown.  Looking at the 69 book (not pictured) it has the same numbers as the 71......go figure.
