Yeah I'm pretty excited for this upgrade. The carb has been great all these years but I'm looking forward to this new unit to handle all the tuning from now on. It will be great to adjust idle speed, air/fuel ratio, and monitor everything with the push of a button from the drivers seat.

The company also offers a fuel management system for those who don't want to deal with changing tanks and lines. It uses the stock mechanical pump to fill the reservoir and supplies the correct pressure for the efi. Nice option if you have the room for it.

:2thumbs: Another killer upgrade for your car!! Do I see an oxygen sensor? do you have a bung in the exhaust?

Not yet...I'm going to take care of that this weekend. The kit comes with a clamp on bung but i'm going to weld on the proper one. But I can't bring myself to weld into the ceramic coating (I've heard that it will ruin the surrounding area) so I'm welding it in right after the collector. Luckily the wiring reaches it perfectly.

Clayton I'm just going to say it: I'm copying your car, mechanically anyway, because your build has made the most sense and appeal to me.  The Hotchkis pieces and even the '66/67 Center console armrest are awesome changes I'm glad I followed.  I like the Baer brakes you're running and this EFI kit you've picked up seems to have many positive features.  Are you running hydro boost as well?   Keep up the great work sir!

Thanks Myk  :2thumbs:  It's all about making the car reliable, functional, comfortable, and most of all fun! Best part of this site is seeing what others are doing and what parts work and what to stay away from. I've taken some ideas from a bunch of the great builds on this site.  :2thumbs:

Hydro boost was one of the top 5 best items on my car. That paired with the Baers have made a world of difference. I actually don't think I've heard one bad comment (aside from price) on these units.

Can't wait to hear your feedback on that system.   :2thumbs:

Great find on the EFI, I will be talking to these guys and stopping by if possible...

Definitely call them up. They were great to deal with and even put up with all my stupid questions without being pushy like some other companies.

I'm sure if you are in the area they'd have no problem having visitors. On another forum guys were saying they stopped by and owners were very helpful and even showed them the cars in the shop being worked on.   :2thumbs:

 You make it sound like we have issues

If I had your skills I'd probably have more cars. I actually want to get another project, a 68 charger or 70 roadrunner. But I don't have the space...Or money.

Which pump did you go with?

I went with the Tanks Inc. GPA-4 high flow fuel pump - 255 Liters Per Hour - Up to 630 hp. Should be perfect for my setup. Also went with their matching sending unit, it will be nice to have a gas gauge that actually reads correctly.  :2thumbs:

The fuel pump and the float switch both look to be very nice units hopefully they work as good as they look.  So far I'm very impressed with the quality fit and finish of this new tank. Look forward to seeing your tank installed as it should go in a lot sooner than mine tank.
Good luck

Well I've been a bit lazy about the efi swap and have been taking my sweet ass time but its getting there. Everything from the old setup has been removed and most of the new parts are on. The efi throttle body fit right on and the wiring was nice and simple. O2 bung has been welded in and had just enough wiring to route it away from the headers so it wont get burnt.

The fuel lines have been the biggest obstacle so far. I was going to run PTFE hoses all the way to the front but have run into issues. The hotchkis subframe connectors run right where the lines go so there is no room for a -6an hose to fit through. So now I'm going to make my own 3/8 steel lines that will run from the rear filter to the front frame rail, then connect to the flexible hose to the throttle body. Should have the parts shortly so that will happen soon.

Tank, pump, sending unit went in nicely but I pulled the tank back out til I get the fuel lines taken care of.

Here's some more shots of the tank.

Also mounted the fuel tank vent can in the trunk with the filter through the floor. Used one of the existing drain holes so that minimized the cutting to the floor.

Some other minor projects I have been working on were a new spoiler and radiator support cover.

I also added white lettering to my tires. I think it looks pretty good, I know lots of people say not to add them to larger wheels but I've always been a fan of white letters. Kind of gives it a racecar look. Debating adding the g-force T/A logo, kinda like it with just the BFGoodrich logo on it.

Looking good!   :2thumbs:

I love white letter tires as long as they are on opposite sides of the rim.  Having just one logo done looks off to me.

I thought that too but I'm actually liking just the one on each wheel. Decals on both sides just felt overdone when I was looking at them? Later on I might add the other side but we'll see as time goes on.

I see your point, it might be too much on a slimmer sidewall tire.
