Thank you white and red69

Just  received the lights, took 10 minutes to fit, bright suckers is right, also got rear LEDs  as well, thank you for showing them on here,,,,hid  headlights next

No problem Dodgey! The quality and ease of installation of those lights make em a sweet buy. After using them there is no way I'd go back to stock. Now post up some pics on your thread so we can see em

Question on your HID's:

I have a 68, already installed the housing conversion kit, now have composite H1 & H4 bulbs for low/high beams.

Getting ready to install hid ballasts, however I'm trying to keep it as clean and factory as possible. I will not be modding the factory connectors.

I want to know since the low beams go on with the high beams, did you need to install a diode on the "third" leg of the low beam connector or is there another solution?

autodynamics

To keep the low beams on with the high beams you have to add a relay at the high beam switch to keep power to the low beam side when the high beams are triggered

MackDa600

Thank you. I'm trying to draw this out now in my head. Any chance you have a pic or can up load pic explaining your solution?

autodynamics

The next chance I get I will go read the wires and tell you what wire needs to remain energized while the high low switch is triggered
It's a simple solution

WHITE AND RED 69

I'll let Pete finish that answer. When I had my HIDs only the low beams worked, but it was a cheap kit. One of these days I will put a new set of HIDs back in.

Ordered mine today. For high n low. Waiting for Pete to hook me up ;)

MackDa600

Pete any update. Got the HID's last week and am eager to get them in...

MackDa600

Ok. I bought the kit with the optional relays as well, so I'm only using the factory harness to trigger the relay rather then drawing off them...

autodynamics

What's your question exactly? Are you adding one or two kits ?
The relays are a must, the hid kits will last much longer with more stable voltages

MackDa600

Adding two kits - high and low.

My question is how to hook them up to the factory wiring to switch on the relays.

Wouldn't all 4 lights be on whether in high or low since there is that jumper wire on the low connector. I'm trying to make them work exactly as they should.

autodynamics

Ok you can install both kits the relay will be done inside at the high beam switch
I will get in my car tomorrow and figure it out

Finally got back to work on some new parts and thought I'd post up some photos.

The air grabber is all done and got the lid back from chrome. Was a pain to make work with the RPM intake and had to trim more than I would have liked to clear the a/c but in the end it turned out pretty good.

Also got a good deal on another lid so I have one chrome and one orange for a classic look. Right now it's being powder coated orange along with a set of valve covers. Will post up some pics soon as I get them back.

Also got a new set of firecore wires and some spark plug looms to help route the wires cleaner.

And got a fancy new billet trunk latch.
