How many ballast resistors?

How many ballast resistors are on the firewall of a 68 Charger? I'm putting the wiring together from scratch. It's a 440 eng out of a 77 New Yorker. It's going into a 68 Charger. It has the orig. dist, coil and alt. for a 77. I'm having trouble figuring out what I need to complete the wiring setup. I bought all new wiring harnesses from YO.
Thanks!

I have seen all this. But until today, I have never seen such a pain in the ars car like this 68 Charger!

1 ballast

What it the thing mounted on the windshield wiper motor that looks just like a ballast resistor?

Thats a different circuit that ballast is for the wiper motor . The other ballast to the left of the wiper motor location on the firewall is for the ignition .It has a single blue wire on one side And a brown and blue wire on the other side

Is it the same part as the ignition ballast resistor or is it a different value?

I'm doing something very similar. I got a 440 out of a 77 dodge truck to put into my 69 Charger. It already had the electronic distributor, so I just had to buy the Mopar electronic ignition box and electronic ignition conversion wiring harness. This setup had extra wires going to the ballalst resistor so I found it helpful to get the 4 post ballast resistor instead of the original 2 post.

Aren't those distributors Lean Burn??

Where did you get your 4 post ballast resistor?

Just picked one up Saturday from O'reilly.  Called Autozone and they have them too.  Advance Auto has discontinued them.
