I'd agree, why release the car till it is paid in full?


If it was a bill of $400, and he had paid you say $390 of it, but was $10 short, then I'd say maybe release it to him. But not for half price.

This has to just fall under a live and learn category.

ok how do you guys get your money from someone that owes you? I mean this mexican guy I worked with hit some "homie" and "homie" made him fix it (Ive done bodywork and paint) at the start Ive said it would be $400 (compared to $1000 estimate by shops). so mexican guy pays me $200, but he still owes me $200 more for few months now. Whenever I call his wife answers or his stoned guests telling me hes not there or he tells me to call him back. I call back and same story happens.
I dont really wanna get mean with this guy you know but hes gotta pay me as Ive got bills and I cant afford to do free body work.

Hay I need some body work done. You interested? I can pay you in a few weeks!

well i didnt give car back to him, i gave it back to guy that damn mexican hit. but ive given mexican key back... you know he was my supervisor at work and he invited me to his house etc etc, well in short we became somewhat friendly. I wouldnt've thought that he would do me like that you understand. Btw when I gave keys back he lost them and the guy he hit called me up and was asking if i got key. He's not very neat person to say the least.
