I have a 1974 Charger.  A few years ago I did the madelectrical mod. to the wiring.  Everything has been fine until I added a/c.  I noticed the fusibile link from the alternator was melted!!  I replaced it and with the car running the other fusible link is extremely hot.  I am supposed to leave on Wednesday to join the power tour.  Please help me figure this out, I don't want to be stranded on the tour!!!  Thanks

If the link is hot and not popping .Might be undersize wire for the load .Or a loose connection causing resitance will also heat things up.If its popping and melting wires you got a dead short someplace
