what years where the vinyl tops put on chargers in those days also what is the most distinctive ways to tell whether a charger is a 1969 verses a 1968.

People driving '69s are inherently more cool  :icon_smile_wink:

Seriously, 69=split grille and square sidemarkers  68=Corvette tail lights and round sidemarkers

A 1968 Charger has round side marker lights and the 1969 has rectangular side reflectors. The 68 has no center divider in the grille and has round taillights.
I believe Chrysler started putting vinyl roofs on the Charger starting in '67 and continued until the end of the rear drive Chargers.
