Chargers in movies and TV shows

Now we all love seeing old Chargers in movies and in TV shows. But does anyone else besides me like it even more when they actually call it by it's name? Seeing someone drive the Charger is one thing but personally if they actually call it a Charger it seems more of an actor than a prop to me.

two lane black top !------------ its one of them dodge chargers ! let him go by !! not today
DMCL , ----------- did a dodge charger do that , &   they  switched to a 69 charger

The reason I posted this is I got a free new release rental and the only new release I hadn't seen was Drive Angry.

My favorite part of the movie though was where the Accountant is talking to the one guy about the Charger.

"Does it have the 440 or the Hemi?"

"440..."

Then the disappointed look on the Accountant's face

Yes but do they actually CALL it a Charger in that movie is the question.

im thinking the movie with ron howard where he runs off with the rich guys daughter heading to vegas. and the boyfriend is chasing them in a black charger wearing polo clothes and the helicopter pilot mentions the black charger in the action. might be called "grand theft auto".

Anyone recall 'Moonshine COunty Express'? Only seen it once and I recall a candy apple red Challenger race car, a sublime RR and may be a bunch more....was so long ago

Yes,Grand theft auto,the guy with the polo shirt and jockey cap and stick steals a 68 Charger from a dealer and drives it right out the friont window off the showroom floor,it was burgundy with a white top,chrome reverse rims with chrome moon hubcaps on the rear and chrome slots on the front.When they show a pic of him putting it in gear,it is NO shifter from any Charger that has been out there,different make and model they show.He flips it over on its roof on the highway.

Have Cannonball on dvd,remember when it first came out in I beleive 1976,watched it on HBO numerous times,David Carradine and his brother "Revenge of the Nerds" Robert Carradine both play in it.As well as Sylvester Stallone!!!!!The guy driving the black charger played in alot of Clint Eastwood movies,including "Every which way but loose",he was one of the black widow bikers.He was also a cop in another old movie,can't remember that one though.

I guess since I own a 2006 Daytona R/T that I don't count. I been a Mopar fan my whole life and I don't discriminate like that. I appreciate every Mopar make and model made. My first car was a 1961 Plymoth Valiant

i think what it is referring to is the old chargers 66-74 that are in movies, but it isnt announced what they actually are so people dont know what it is. no-one is slammin the new chargers. everyone sees one and automatically knows what it is. we are just trying to name movies showing the classic's where they actually say in the movie what the car is.
