also lots of advertising art nowadays they use only photos...

parusing one of the links supplied, i found this tidbit of charger info...

"Next, the part about the 1966 Charger is not quite correct. Again, as I pointed out 30 years ago, that car was originally intended to be called the "Turbine Charger" and I showed renderings of the car in my article and talked about the ill-fated close brush with productions."

I didn't spot this pic in your links...so I'm assuming that #7 isn't a Mopar. It appears to be one of Shelby's early GT40 cars, being hounded by #2...a Ferrari of some sort.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yeah, P-3 Ferrari 1967 - these were just  some neat pics i found around the www and as i noted there's a planned big budget movie planned about the Ford Vs. Ferrari battle at le mans due out which I think should be great,.. I thought the link was there above, but i guess it never made it into the tread..

Sometimes when i do these elaborate threads stuff wont make it in and i lose track with all the pasting and cutting and searching and downsizing and renaming,.. Know what I mean?..  :D
Nothing of that ilk has come out since "Le Mans" in the early '70 from Steve Mcqueen. before that I think Grand Prix from John Frankenheimer.. I suspect Days of Thunder was supposed to be of that caliber film, but it didn't go into the Cannon of racing flicks like the first two.
I personally really liked Heart like a Wheel myself, the Shirley Muldowney film, but most folks are totally unaware of that one...
Anyhows, I have tons of the old school endurance racing Pics. from the era when they still did the Le Mans style starts. But I LOVE that one!
Anyone know is that the XP Hemi Charger with the beauty queen and the NY Plates?..

oh hell lettuce getta chebby in there under the DNF heading...
