I'm there!

Anyone who hasn't attended: very well organized, great location. Excellent turnout of the more unusual and old Mopars, love the Imperials and Furies.

I hated it more when the swap meet was under the trees and the car show participants were out in the hot sun.
Just remember to bring a hat and sun screen.

I might be there depending on when I make it back from vacation and the shape the Charger and I are in.

I go for the swap more than the car show but I do look at everything (maybe thats why i preferred it in the shade haha)

This is THE show to go to in Northern CA. I agree that there are more of the unusual cars at the show.  Plenty of muscle, but also some really nice NON mainstream cars. The swap is the largest in Nor Cal. The move of the swap was made to allow MORE swap spaces than was previously available.

ChgrSteve67

I don't think its going to be as hot this year as it has been in the past. So this should be a great year to attend if you have not attended in the past.

Ohlone College show and this show swaps are about the same. size wise. and a lot of the same sellers. but both are great shows and i'll be at both of them

Is this going to be a show car only show?? I got my 71 id like to bring but she isn't show quality.
I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all out of bubble gum.

ChgrSteve67

Definatey not.

There are cars of all conditions that will be there

71charger: there is an "Under Construction" category at Sac (less than 75% complete, or missing one major component). For your consideration.

It's just a great day in the park and meeting cool Mopar people. Join in, nobody bites.

Oh yeah you gotta go no matter what. You dont even have to enter your car in the show if you dont want too. You can park it in the parking area and walk in to the show. JUST GO! haha.

With the Mopar Alley show in the rearview mirror, the next big show IS our Capital City show.
Lets hope that the temps dont creep into the 100+ degree range. There is a large abundance of shade at the park though, and the show is held on grass. ALL show cars and swap meet vendors will enter the same gate.  Signs will be posted to direct participants.
SWAPPERS: Bring anything and everything you want to sell. Lots of sellers did brisk business last year. Even those selling some oddball stuff did well. Our show features a wider diversity of cars than many others, so be ready to see some models that you may have never seen.

You got that right. Past years had several great cop cars, race cars, the 300s are awesome and the Imperials are out-of-this-world. If you haven't seen an Imperial with the record player you're in for a treat.

For the youngsters out there, once upon a time there were these things called record albums. They made music on a record player. But they weren't supposed to be in a car. Imperials had them! A must see.

The weather forecast looks good. Mid to high 80s for the day of show. NICE !!

johnnycharger

Is anybody else from the forum going to be at the Sac show? I am hoping to see some Chargers! I haven't been to this show for about 12 years.

saltdog

i will be there as a spectator. Hopefully the show will inspire me to get my butt in gear on my own car. :rotz:

I'm thinking about going and entering the Charger if its not to hot.
I may need some help cleaning the Charger after 21 Days and 6,000 miles on the road.

I will just be spectating too. I am sure it will be hot. Bring your sun protection! :D

ChgrSteve67

Got my exhaust leak fixed today. Lost the nut off one of the collector bolts. Easy fix after finding a nut that fit the bolt. Found a bolt and nut to reattach my torque strap, fixed my review mirror, got the oil changed and gave the Charger a bath.  Just needs detail clean up now.

Hey Dan, is the wife going to join you this year?

68X426

As far as I know, yes. But that's today. :scratchchin: I'll find out for sure at 6 am Saturday when I start up the Orange Bitch. :icon_smile_big:
