Somebody goofed. Look at the third photo with the 1975 on it. I guess the 3rd gens were around for more years then I thought. ha ha  :smilielol:

Look at Richard Petty's car for the 1975 year, it's also listed as a "1975" Dodge. Those were Nascars and not normal street vehicles.

Interesting! I knew he drove the the same car in 75, but never noticed it listed as a 1975 car.

NASCAR let Dodge drivers use the 3rd gens until the Magnum came out (1978 i think?) so they weren't stuck driving these aerodynamic bricks

Earnhardt raced that 1974 model car in 1975 in his first Winston Cup start.   Normally, a particular car body was eligible to race for three years.  1974 Chargers were grandfathered an extra year for 1977 because Chrysler had nothing competitive to replace it with.

But, it would still be called a 1974 Charger, Correct? Wouldn't it be more correct to say it was a 1974 Charger that raced in the 1975 season?

Yes it would.   It's not the first time someone made an error on text or labeling used on a model box.

Nascar allowed AS FAR I KNOW 3 years old models still running, thast why 77 was the last year he run the Charger.
