Sorry for the delay.

Yes, they are sad.  Also sad, I don't know where I was.  I don't even have the guys phone number!

But the guy has a few Hemi's lying around.  None of the 426 variety though.  There are 2 in his drive way as of Saturday.

Also here, by request.

Also... this Hemi below.....

Is in this truck!

A belt driven air compressor and 2 barrel intake on that dump truck? How barbaric.
Still, would be cool to restore that one.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Should be interesting viewing on Google Earth.

Out in Southern California there was a guy with a similar problem on about 10 acres. He had an assorted collection of vehicles, trucks, trailers, etc. It took years but the County went in there and cleaned up the place based on some nuisance law. He just happened to be in a road that over the years became more and more travelled and folks started complaining about the eyesore.

Sorry if I didn't reply, I didn't mean anything by it.  The guy does sell stuff.  But he doesn't want to be known across the internet.  Only local.  I don't even have the guys phone number.  Sorry.

It is some crazy stuff, just wait for part 3!

This is a good article about the mindset of some car hoarders. Like I said earlier there are many out there....

      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're

I hate guys that do that, hoard cars and say they're going to restore them someday.. I worked with a guy that has a bunch of mopars sitting out in a field rotting away, sell them!! lets someone love the car and restore it! at least itll be back on the road.  :rotz:

DonC1

Thing is if he didn't hoard those cars in the first place they probably would have been crushed long ago...at least the ones outside.

Part Three is up.  Too tired to answer questions.  I will finish up tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for torturing us. Where do I get in line for a flogging?  :icon_smile_blackeye:

By the collection, you'd think he appreciates these cars and wants to save as many as possible, but his intent doesnt seem to match what's happening in reality.  Good to see some of them being preserved, but shame on that guy for letting a LOT of decent parts and pieces that others can use rot away.

I love these type threads. Some old guy who thinks all his "Junk" is worth a fortune, but doesn't like thios "New fangled" internet and only deals in locals with cash in hand (Which most of the locals know dude is crazy as a Junebug)....Prolly wants a fortune for that 215 Cu.In. "Hemi" which isn't even worth the trouble to scrap....Another dreamer.

Meanwhile, everybody who sees the cars rotting sway refuses to pay his price for whatever it is they want. So, the cars end up rotting away ANYWAY...

Seriously? I doubt anybody here would or could buy anything from this dude. It's already determined that he is clkearly looking to killl someone on the price IF he sells anything so all the bitchin' in the world won't get any of these cars sold or restored...Let 'em rot, and I hope all his work in collecting them, building buildings to store 'em in over the years, all that thinking about how he owns a gold mine by the way some folks go there and ogle over his junk, all that time waiting on some dumbass with more oney than brains is for nothing. I dude sees his family crush every one of 'em for scrap price...At least it won't give dude any more people for him to "Dream" about how much money he's sitting on..

Best post right here.

I knew some half-crazy old coot like that in California.  His property was full of Chevys and Fords.  "Ohhh...don't tell anyone where I'm at!!!"  Don't flatter yourself there Grizzly Adams...no one's gonna beat a path to your door to take this rusted out crap from you.  You'll die with this junk and it'll be scrapped.  Sure enough...3 years later he kicked the bucket and they came and hauled everything away.  Except that the wreckers said they were going to keep some of the nicer cars.

Smooth move there captain.  ::)
