honda Vtx is a good running bike but the offset of the tires causes prematature wear on the tires  (offset is due to the shaft drive) lots of aftermarket accessories for the yamahas, suzukis arent very popular around here at least.

the shaftdrive makes offset wheels in all driveshaft bikes ? or just the VTX ?

it could be an option, but market for big bikes is not wide around here ;)... and mostly still in that way, overpriced

did you look at that link I posted earlier?

Its an awesome looking bike. Cheap. It's only 250cc. But I do wonder how hard/easy it would be to put a bigger engine on there.

yeap, but they are not available down here

I have had a bunch of shaft drive bikes. Mostly Yamaha and a Honda. None of them had an offset wheel. I cant imagine how you could even ride a bike if the wheels are not in line. Couldnt roll through a turn.

dont know about other brands but the vtx is offset jusdt a hair due to the shaft, it wears thethe right side of the front tire and left on the rear instead of evenly, its not much but enough to notice in the wear patterns.
