I am in the middle of swapping the camshaft in my 383.  The camshaft bearings looks worn.  It should only have around 1000 miles on a newer build.  Could these be marks from installation(camshaft fitment) or just not broken in correctly?  Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The oil holes don't look lined up very good on a couple of the pics.  Maybe causes some oil flow restriction  :shruggy:

Hmm, good point on the oil hole in that pic.  It could have caused some of it.  It didn't see any copper coming through, so I went ahead an installed it.  We'll see how long it holds up, with my luck it will konk-out by the middle of summer.  Thanks for the replies.

I didn't turn it, not knowing the condition before removing it.  But I could have put it back and tried it.  I will search on moparts.  But for what its worth, the prior owner had it rebuilt and the engine shop used a Enginetech master kit.  It looks like an economy kit?  :shruggy:  I already installed a Lunati camshaft and lifters.  I hope to break it in this week. Thanks.
