I think they are determined to not do the expected. Most folks figured the Pegasus was a goner once discovered yet they seem determined to keep it around. I think it makes for a better story with two battlestars. Not sure how 2 of them will deal with, what was it something like 7 base ships?
:iagree: My thoughts as well.

ohhh god, I never even thought about it. From the looks of the teasers it seems Apollo has lost his nerve. So I see something bad happening with that, an unsure captain is worse then no captain.

I'll agre however that Pegasus will stick around. I was one of the guys that just waited and waited for it to get blown up.

Maybe a FTL leap right on top of a cluster of base ships would give the element of surprise. While the base stars are hammering away, the other Battlestar would come around and flank them. maybe taking turns spooling up the FTL an jumping all Over the place. keeping the Cylones guessing.

I know it's a bit far fetched, but I think it's going to be one hell of a battle.

My second guess, Baltar will leave with the Cylones. I don't thinks he'll make it in the fleet anymore.

In Resurrection Ship 2 you can see how the two Battlestars positioned themselves against one base star leaving the other base star on the far side of the first base star unable to really shoot. They pretty much pummelled the first ship and then wheeled around to face the second.

Not sure you can pull off something like that with so many base ships...unless some have jumped home for some bizarre reason.

Should be a good fracken season. So say we all.

TheAutoArchaeologist

My take...

Adm. Adama doesn't want to go back... they have no expectations that the colony was spared, everything else has shown that the colony was most likely nuked....
Lee Adama wants to go back... he goes to take Pegasus back... and fights the good fight.  I think if Pegasus goes boom it might take the Basestars with it... and everyone abandons ship or it was set on automatic or something... And Galactica and the rest of the fleet get everyone out of there as fast as possible.

Boltar can't die, he's the best antagonist. I think it would hurt the series to loose him. I think when he joins the cylones we'll see less of him, but losing him would my like loosing admiral Adama

IF you see the pictures for this season... I don't see Tyrol anywhere.  I could be completely wrong, perhaps Helo.

Only 11 1/2 hrs to go (for you guys). Will you make it? I have to wait until it pops up on iTunes before I can see it. :flame:

myk

Has the 13 minute preview of the season premiere been posted here yet?  Well, don't watch it if you don't want to be spoiled:

Remember, it is 2 hours long and starts at 8pm central time so no one misses the first hour. I am not going to watch it til 10 pm (the replay which runs right after the first showing) as I want to watch the replay of the ARCA race at Talladega on Speed right now :yesnod:

So who do you want to die? I can't really think of anyone except maybe the colonel's wife. What a ^#%$(& she is. Still, she keeps it interesting.

Cripes!

Even with a 2 hour season opener I wish there had been another hour!

They definitely have nailed the definition of cliffhanger.

*Spoiler*

I sure wasn't expecting them to waste Caprica 6!

And man... someone needs to wax Col. Tigh's wife.

Well, I'd be interested letting her try out the 'swirl' first.
:D

So, do you really think they killed off Tom and the Pres.? :scratchchin:

the comming attractions showed they're still around..
trippy though,.. Baltar's a Cylon?... wtf!?..

SirNik73

OK
This is all pretty much going to spoil it for anyone who hasen't seen the premire. so i suppose i should white it out... for a week or so.

Baltar is not a Cylon. they normaly say things like that in the spoilers to mess with your mind.
Yeah, i believe that spoiler that the Pres, and Tom are still alive. I did like the "Great Escape" style ending, when "Brother Carvel" (or Al, from Quantum Leap)  said "let them strech their legs"... very Nazi esque...
I like the fact that "Boomer" is back. its cool that she is actuly get so do something, i wonder how that will work out.
I also liked that Tigh lost an eye. my friend and i have been watching the webesodes together, and he said, tigh would look meaner with a scar over his eye, and then there is was the first episode, he lost his eye... very cool
I heard there is an extra long version of the Pegasus episode on the DVD, and in the extra parts they cut out, it explains just how bad a$$ the Pegsus is. its supose to be pretty much 3 times the ship Galactica is. so i was realy hoping to see a show down with the 2 Battlestars taking down some basestars... but with the plan talked abut between the Adamas it makes the likelyhood of that happening very low.

Yes the extended version of Resurrection Ship 1 answers alot of questions.

The Pegasus is twice the size of Galactica with the same size crew.

Well, I'm screwed. I still haven't seen the premiere because there are problems with iTunes and/or the SciFi Channel with getting the episodes for download on the internet. You'd think these jokers could have gotten their ducks in a row long before the new fall schedule but noooo. What a joke. :rotz:
