69 resto

Hey everyone out there!  I'm new here and glad I found all of you.  I am beginning my restoration of my 69 charger and in need of massive amounts of help.  A little background on the car, I purchased it on eBay from a guy in Phoenix about 7 or 8 years ago.  Since that time, lack of money and know-how have left me not too far off of were I started.  I've never worked on cars before or for that matter even a car.  I know what the car should look like when it's done, but that's about it, a picture in my head.  I have had different "body" guys work on it here and there over the years, mostly removing rust and getting it in primer.  As I write this the car is sitting in the barn.  Plan is to pull it out tomorrow, get it inside and begin the process.  I will be sure to post some pictures soon so you can see what I'm working with.  The car was originally a 318 with a column shifter, nothing too special.  I purchased the car with the intent of doing a resto-mod General Lee......I can hear the sighs:)
Hope some of you will have the patience to help me out, there will be some pretty ridiculous questions from me in the future.

Welcome.    You can always start by posting pics.    We love em in all stages from beginning to final stages!  This is about one of the best and most friendliest sights with the biggest amount of information possible.  All you have to do is post the question!

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome. I started the project yesterday, mostly bring in the shop from the barn.....let's just say rodents are not my friends
I took lots of pictures and will post them Monday. I'm having a blast surfing and searching this forum, the wealth of knowledge here is ridiculous.....I'm loving it.

Instead of "01" on the side it should be "02" (fits in with the plumber and poop motto  )

Started cleaning up the hood today.  Tons of fun trying to remove the paint and rust from the backside of the hood.  It seems impossible to remove all the rust and treat it properly.  Should I have this sandblasted? Dipped? Then POR15?
