A few pics from Paris...

Overall I was surprised with how dirty the city was, it smelled like piss and there was trash everywhere... there were more homeless people than in Chicago (I work there 6 months out of the year). It was a neat city to see, but I feel it was over hyped.

You forgot to mention the dog-sized  river rats. Paris is a cool city to visit though. I'd love to get back to Europe, I lived in Germany for nearly nine years but haven't been back in close to 20. Still have several friends over there too.

Hey its an amphicar.  There was one of those at an AACA national meet and the location just happened to have a small pond and the guy took it for a plunge.  Tooled around the pond a while then came out.  Car was dirtier than hell but he had a blast.  Was actually cool to see one in the water too.

They are cool to watch. They always have them at the Fleetwoood Country Cruize-In in Ontario Canada.

Very true, and when its even worse when they have dogs with them, because they know you will only give because you feel bad for the animal.

We visited the Dachau Concentration Camp today, 40,000 people lost their lives here....
The Prison within the Prison, they kept the high profile people here, Bishops and others which needed to be removed from society but not worked to death...

A cell (the cells looked okay, but that was because the allies turned the camped overcrowded cells into normal cells for Nazi prisoners

Windows

Foundation of the original inmate dorms (the camp was suppose to house 6,000 inmates, at the end of the war 32,000 people were imprisoned here)

Mass Bunks (each dorm was suppose to hold 250 people, but at the end of the war they contained over 1,600 people each)

Rest facility in the dorms

Punishment room (typical punishment was 25 whippings with a stick 1 inch in diameter, the inmate had to count, if the inmate lost consciousness, the count would start over at 1, many people lost their lives here, to cover this up, the SS would fake hang the victims and then send them away to be cremated. The main operations found out about this, so Dachau built it's own crematorium to solve this problem.)

The shoot which the Nazis placed the gas canisters in (the inmates were tricked into thinking they were going to take a shower after a long travel in the trains, this way they would go in to the gas chambers with their own free will)

The last light the inmates ever saw

Crematorium

This is by far the most saddest part of the trip, however I posted this so that everyone can see and understand just how terrible the inmates (not just Jews, but catholics, Jehovah witnesses, gays, political opponents, normal prisoners, and people who were "asocial") went through and how this must never happen again.

I like castles if you happen to run across anymore.

Real sinking feeling looking at some of the camp pictures but ignoring it doesn't make it any better so thanks for posting ALL the pictures so far!
