1971 pitman arm question???

I recently started working on my steering and when i put on the pitman arm it didnt fit, it was to big. I matched it up to the old one and realized that the hole was too big on the part. I bought a mevotech part and i cant seem to find one that will fit. has power steering.

Do you guys think i might need the small spline one??

 sounds like you could have the earlier box  !  earlier box has one indexing spline also ,  the  new pitman arm you have prolly has 4 ,  what was on there originaly ?

originally it has 4 and the new one has 4 but the female hole (no puns) is bigger hehe... at least i got my money back know anyone who would like that part for free?? 1973-81 dodge charger pitman arm pay shippin and its yours

to what fits , well if this is any help , got a FF box on mine  ,  its a later type with the larger shaft  ,  they sent me a pitman arm to fit  , so would of thought a 69/68 charger -B-Body  pitman arm is what you need ,   look to se if they are the same shape
