Two of those listings are for your former car, Dave.

Have you seen the unrestored black/red car before?  I don't know if I've heard of that one.  It's price is a little high  :ohhthesarcasm:  for a project car.

hemi68charger

Yeap.... Think two of the listing are your old R4 at Legendary........... I'm curious too for they all, just like mine, sit and drift (granted I'm still having fun with mine  :icon_smile_big: ). The only one I know of selling recently was the gentleman out of Florida who sold the 4-speed car.... Someone's extremely happy on that deal......

Troy your car is very nice and well worth the money I am surprized myself. Maybe people are looking for a car they can fix up for cheaper. The problem is where are you going to find a Daytona cheap to fix. I have been looking but leaning now toward a Superbird because I have 2 1969 Chargers and you can find a few here and there that need a little fixing at a much cheaper price. I am working on one now.

nascarxx29

I dont think even the Mario car ever got sold .Thats a fixer upper ::)

I get more people interested/curious if it has the original motor than all the original sheetmetal. I would much rather have a car with all its original sheetmetal. But, to each their own.

:Twocents: If I couldnt find a #s car .A original sheet metal car would be my next priority. .After so much metal had to be replaced I think a car loses it factory original pedigree after large% of metal got replaced .I ve taken car with no drivelines and wiring melted down etc .But had a good sound original body to work with.NJ cars can be rusty

Troy,
There is nothing wrong with your Daytona! For years it was hard to even find a Daytona for sale and this fueled the high prices! Now they are for sale everywhere! Also most of the Daytonas have been restored and the owners wanting a higher price. There are not many project/entry level Daytonas out there. I think that the economy has a part in it and the fact that many baby boomers lost retirement security does also. You have been to the large wing car meets, just look at the age group of the owners. I'm not so sure the younger guys will replace the enthusiaists that are getting out? :shruggy:

Theres like 10 Superbirds and 2 Daytona at Daiseys in Georgetown De .Doesnt seem to be a goodtime to sell :Twocents:

Well, as I've beating the horse,  :horse: , I'm going to continue to enjoy it. I'm getting my brand new dash bezel kit and fuel cap ring for it. That'll definitely add more glitter inside my my seat as I'm cruising down the road.........

Looks like an absolute mint Petty Blue car which to me is worth a ton of money. Its not your typical bird for sale that's why they got the money.

For years it was J.Juneman's purple '70 that I would buy if we won the lottery.  Now, your car would be added to the list right off the bat.  That's what I tell my wife anyways.  She asks quite often.

It's funny, when folks are asked what they plan to buy first, it's:
-pay off all bills
-pay off the house
-buy a new home
-buy homes for family members, yada, yada.

Not once have you heard someone say, "I'm buying 7 classic cars, one for each day of the week!"  ;)  I plan to be the first to say it.

Just another pipe dream.
