How do I adjust these?

Hello,

With my 68 Charger how do I adjust the front triangular windows?

When I put a hose of water over the front screen, the water that goes over the side goes straight through and into my car. Theres a gap between the triangular windows and the rubber seal. It seems they are too low/should be pushed up against the chrome trim more. How is this all adjusted? I took the screw ot of it... but that didnt seem to do anything for adjustment purposes... any help?

The other adjustment issue are the side windows... when the doors are open, you can lift/close them very easy, when I shut the door, and need to wind the window up, it feels like im going to snap the handle how hard I have to pull on it to get the window to wind up... what kind of adjustment issue is this, and where/how do I adjust these also?

Thank you guys.

If you take off the interior door panel you will be able to see inside the door and should be able to make all the necessary adjustments. The wing window should have a dividing bar even with the rear edge that runs down into the door. You may be able to make an adjustment from inside...or look up near the glass from inside for something to adjust...I'm not 100% sure.

It sounds like your door glass is adjusted too far in and is binding against the door seal. There should be an in-out adjustment for the door glass at the rear channel inside the door. You loosen the bolt and move it in or out and it adjusts the in-out tilt of the window.

There is a bracket spot welded to the bottom of the vent window assembly divider bar, (if this 4 was a vent assembly it would be at the base) it's common for it to snap the welds. As the channel seals become old and brittle they grab and bind on the door window. Check the condition of both.  :2thumbs:

loosen all bolts as said above  window run channels & every thing  , the  loosen the vent frame adjusting  stud nut accessed from the under side of the door ! under the big plastic plug , thats what lets the frame move in or out !
