My first car wasn't much to brag about, a 1988 Audi 80 with a 1,8 liter 4-banger.

Many of you guys know this from previous threads on this subject, but what the hell, I'll post it again. :) My first was this 1966 F100. I bought it from a friend when I was 16, towed it home with the engine in the bed...he couldn't figure out how to put it back together again. It took me a while, but I got it running again...
.

Here's me washing it in the driveway, at around age 17. That's my younger brother playing pocket pool... ;D

I still have it, I will never sell it.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Darkman

Here's mine....1979 Ford Escort MkII Ghia (european....guess what it was converted to RHD by the factory)

It had a 2 litre Cosworth twin cam engine delivering 250 horses at the rear wheels (not bad for a 4 cyl), custom fitted 16" rims. No V8 could keep up with it

Sold it to the guy I bought all the performance parts for it and he rally's it at the moment

I miss that little rocket  :'(
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

Not my first car, but one of my best Daily Driver was a Holden gemini Aussy members will know of this Car I don't recall what year it was but no power steering, I think... it was a 4 speed but it went really well! I went out of Town to study for just over 3 months, left it at a Friends house with instructions for him to start it every week (which he didn't do). I bought another Car while I was away when I got back it wouldn't start I got it to start, drove it to the Wreckers and that was that  :'( I regret that decision but it was rusting out pretty bad too. The funny thing is, it was my only Car ever I got for Free! I rented A room to a Guy who I worked with he offered to sell it to me for 200.00, then 100.00 then he said "you can have it"  :2thumbs: they were quite popular for Young Guy's to do up (nice paint, rims, Stereo etc)

The first one or the first one I could drive on the street?

My first one was a 51 Ford I got when I was 13. Then when I was 15 or about to turn 16 I bought a 66 VW that had 33k miles on it. I gave $300 for it. I drove the crap out of that thing and it never left the farm.  :smilielol:

The first one I bought after I got my license was a 67 Ford Ranger that I got off my dad for $600. This was in 73.  I think I posted a pic of it once before.

My dad bought me a 1965 Bonneville when I turned 16 in '83.  I was the first of my buddies to have my own car so we took the "Bonnie" everywhere.  Sold it 2 years later for $300 to buy a motorcycle.
