moparguy01

I thought I was gonna win oldest vehicle till I saw charger490's post. Mine was a 1949 international harvester kb-3 pickup. It would ironically also top out around 60 mph. Speed demon it was not but damn it was cool. I sold it in 2001 for money to go to college and have kicked myself ever since. I miss it.

Kern Dog

I started out Dodge , went Chevy for awhile then came back to the Family.
My first car was a 69 Dart 2 door, 318 automatic. It has electrical problems that got too much for me to handle, so I sold it for a 76 Dart Sport. MUCH better car, though not much faster. The 76 had dang near every option those cars could have: 318 A/T P/S P/B Disc brakes, 8.25 axle, Front sway bar, Rally wheels, Cloth plaid interior, vinyl top, sunroof, Air conditioning, rally stripes......It was a nice car, but  after a year or so I wanted to go faster. I ended up buying a 73 Camaro 350. 12 years later I bought a 73 Duster, then a 74 Dart Sport. I bought the 70 Charger in March 2000. Now all I own is Mopar. I have nothing against GM or Ford guys. I just like the Mopars much more.

doctor4766

1968 Holden Monaro.
Never did get it painted.

Gotta love a '69

I think it was the spring of 1976,,,, I bought a 1966 Pontiac Tempest hardtop 6 cyl auto.

Paid a whopping $50 for it and drove it home.
It had a lifter tick in it. My dad and I figured out it needed 2 rocker arms and 2 lifters ( it was an overhead cam motor )

I sold it less than 6 months later for $200

Just 6T9 CHGR

Any of you that had '69s back in the day....any chance you have the VIN still?   I can check to see if the car is around  :Twocents:
Chris' '69 Charger R/T

bill440rt

First car was my '68 Charger that I still own.

However, my first "real" car that I drove to HS & was my daily was a '71 Satellite that I made into a Road Runner clone. It was lemon twist yellow, with a white & brown interior with a hi-back split bench up front & column shift automatic. Damn, I miss that car more than any other I owned. Last I saw it, it was pulling out of Raceway Park here in Englishtown, NJ on a flatbed sometime in the very early '90's.

While I learned to drive on a 67 Monaco, it was never really "my car". It was always Dad's car I was driving.  Some months later I purchased (with some saveed up $$ for college) my first and only new car.  73 Charger SE.  Drove it to High School and college.  Wish I had it back, oh ... I do ... sort of.
