Well after sitting in my Garage since 1985 I finally started the restoration. I have been taking body and paint classes and we will be using my car to work on.

I originally bought my Charger R/T in 1979 raced it for a few years then it was stolen from me while parked in my driveway, thank god I got the car back but not before stripping all the steel braided lines, tunnel ram and the 2 holley 660 center squirters. At least everything else was there but I decided to remove the engine and go through it in case they dropped anything down the engine, so before I could get everything back together I had to put it on the back burner and rebuild my 76 Plymouth Trail Duster, and then life got in the way forcing me to hide the Charger until I could get back to it. (bought a new house, got married, got divorced and a very bad accident on my Harley) So finally the day is here, the engine is all done and ready to drop back in, finishing the 4 speed, and by next month the car will be painted.

Even today I get surprises, while taking out the old carpet I found a very bad condition Broadcast sheet, I thought for sure I lost the original one from under the bench seat when I was racing and removed the original back seat. This one was located the front passenger side carpet.

The car is an Arizona car and there is no rust other than the trunk pan which I will be replacing, the rest of the car is perfect
Here are a few real quick pics.

I'll keep you all posted on the progress

Looks like it was A4 Silver? A rare color for a charger, and a really sweet one to boot.  :2thumbs:

It was F3 spring green originally, I'm still considering it but it all depends, I'm not redoing it for resale value since I have owned it since 78 so I think i'll have it as long as I live.
