Here's the layout, 440 (850 Holley double pumper carb, Indy dual plane intake), Lunati VooDoo cam, and for right now Headman headers (which will eventually be replaced by Dougs #452's).

Firecore dist with mech adv, Firecore wires, and Firecore coil. The dist uses the MSD 2 wire connector, so..... Spark plugs are NGK.

I hope that's the info needed. Charger will be driven mostly on the street, auto tran's.

And for those who want pictures, well... Try to focus more on the motor and not everything else, lol. And also, keep in mind, it's a slow work in progress, but progress none the least....

I voted for the 6al (analog) box.  :2thumbs:

Used several of these over the years and have never been let down !  :icon_smile_big:

I actually installed a MSD 6AL-2 and thought it was a pretty nice unit...   digital, two step rev limiter, and a overall more compact design...     I wired the second rev limiter to a toggle to make a valet setting for the owner...      pretty cool thing...

That's a great idea  :2thumbs:

Surprised there's not more votes than what there is... From the looks of it, so far, it's the analog MSD 6AL that's the majority favorite of the bunch... Maybe a refresh might pull in more votes?

I am in the market for a controller too. I like the digital version because it has more output using less amps. I also like the dial type rev limiter better than the plug in pill type.  FWIW the digital one is only $10 more with $15 Summit bucks back.  :Twocents:

I'm going with "other" myself. I bought a Street Fire box that supposedly has all the 6AL bang for about $65 fewer bucks. Still made by MSD so, you know, what the hell?  http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,79051.0.html

Also in the "other" category is this thing that's got me intrigued: http://www.thertgarage.com/products.html

Thought I'd refresh this and throw in another option (mostly for laughs per say).... I'm kinda surprised not more folks have not chose the digital 6al rather than the analog, I can imagine the reasons for this though... The digital 6al has a couple of advantages over the analog 6al, based on what I've read... Little higher output, smaller box, and the wires come out on one side and is weatherproof. Also a couple other things, and what I'd say would be an advantage as well... Either way...

I voted other but only because my 73 has the 6A on it, that's what was there when I bought it.  If I have to change it out I will put on the digital one though.

Yeah, I got to have the rev limiter, may never need it, but as one of the ole sayings go; it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it....
