Since you removed that window plug, your problem is solved.  I did the same thing to mine...As far as drip molding, you can either leave it or shave it all off.  As you already read, you will need a few interior panels from any non 72 SE charger. Any 71 Charger will work too.  I like what your doing. I hate those SE side plugs too.  :2thumbs:

Thanks for the clarification...  I was worried that I may have over/under thought the process and steps involved.    Sounds like you may have done this before.  Do you have any before / after pics?  I would be very interested in seeing the finished product.

Thanks!

No photos. I am not one to take alot of photos.  I could never post them anyway..I still have not figured out to post any pic's here either. However I can answer any questions for you

Great...  I am certain I will have more than a few questions along the way!   Thank You! :2thumbs:

Not much on the Charger...   Getting our RVs ready for the Rental Season...  Adding airbags to the Class A...  been doing alot of drilling in very thick steel...  I have done some preliminary welding/testing of the MIG setup.  It is good...  me... not so good...   Alot of learning to do...  practice will be key....  I am also torn on the paint color again...  I thought I made my decision...  BUT... my Dad says I should reconsider and paint it the factory color (EW1) Eggshell White...  so I have been looking at photos of the EW1 paint... not too bad...   I could possibly add some 'burn orange' touches with stripes and such just to make the white not so .... ummm... white...

Comments or suggestions?
Here is what the Eggshell White looks like on a 73 Ralleye...  Not too bad....

If you put the black out on the bulge hood, put a rear wing and front spoiler I think it would look great  :2thumbs:

Well...  I will have to purchase the bulge hood, rear spoiler, and front valance...  but other than that I think it would look good as well.

I am considering my options...  I am open to the 'EW1' now.  Before I was pretty much against it...

I will be purchasing those items as well but my eventual color will be the original B5 blue, which will also look good with those black accents as will the white :yesnod:

EW1-white with those black accents would look really sharp :Twocents:

I just did a google image search and the white ones seem fairly rare.  Some of the more colorful ones are tasteful, some gaudy.  A whole lot of variation.

That pic of the white '73 looks classy however, I'm not a big 3rd gen fan but I could drive this car.

It has been a LONG time since I was able to work on the Charger.  This weekend I took put it on my tow dolly and pulled it over to my Father-In-Laws.  He has a repair shop here in Iowa.  Two of my Brother-in-Laws, Brian & Chris (welding experts) were willing to lend a much needed hand to make some very significant progress.  Pics shown below.

Pics of the Priming Process...  Again, the car has ALOT of metal work left to do this is simply protection so I don't have to deal with more rust!!!
