Good ol’ boys crash into General Lee at Detroit Autorama

Justin Hyde — During the set-up for this weekend's Autorama in Detroit, a Pro-Stock Chevy S10 sped out of control and broadsided a General Lee replica from "Dukes of Hazzard."

According to one eyewitness report:

At least one bystander was injured, and had the paramedics come for him. The Pro-Stock S-10, was leaving the check-in area, and went sideways, taking out most of the check-in areas tables, it hit the stantions then broadsided the General Lee clone. It pushed the General Lee sideways almost a foot.

Yet Motown Muscle forum members say the General was ready to show this morning. Cooter works fast.

Looks ok WITH the dents, throw a little mud on the rockers and it would look more authentic.

Who brings an S10 to any kind of car show? Those things are useless even after you spend $50k on them. 50,000 X 0 = 0.

It seems like a waste to build a S10 for anything but a budget bracket racer, and that's a matter of opinion.

WB General Lee

I was lucky if the guy with the General Lee wasn't putting the car in then it would have been mine :brickwall: I did have a car directly in front of that car though :o

Cooter

Sounds like the guys in the S10 are typical Low performance drivers ina high performance vehicle..."Pro stock" my ass, prolly a tubbed up small block on alcohol, that the owner clearly tried to "Show what it'll do" like most every S10 V8 truck driver I've ever seen..I wonder how it felt to get the General Lee owners boot up his ass? "You just tore up a rare (Even painted like the GL) Charger with a common as field mice, Chevy S10"..
" I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours researching what works and what doesn't and I'm willing to share"
