Tic Toc Tac

The tic toc tac in my 69 seems to work OK. By OK I mean it does reflect engine rpm but is the tac's needle supposed to move slowly? In other words the gauge's needle movement isn't fast, its like the needle swings in a fluid bath.

Yes the tach needle is "bouncy"...not as accurate as the electronic tachs out now.....mostly for show
