I am not sure how many others would want a set or just the front bumper but it sounds like a good idea to me, what you think?

The next thing is aluminum bumper brackets as the main one is HEAVY. Fiberglass is fine for race cars but I want something sturdier but still lite.

Maybe I should just get a Dart and not worry about saving 50 lbs? :shruggy:

Why stop at bumpers?

I've thought for years that aluminum versions of the factory sheetmetal could be more popular and practical than all the fiberglass stuff being made.  Bumpers, brackets, hoods, fenders, door shells, trunklids . . .

Not a bad idea, but would an aluminum bumper hold up to the abuse that the front of the the car gets?  It's a pretty soft metal to be taking on stones and constant dust.

If you make it thick enough the integrity of the bumper should be fine & still be much lighter than the steel version. I am sure most know they make a aluminum front clip, deck lid & bumpers for the 69 Camaro, so someone knows this is wanted. It would be nice if they could do the Charger\Challenger as well.
