Anybody installed of one of those mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges? So the kit comes with everything to install those senders? Can I still have the factory gauges and senders to? Water pump has like three sender holes(I think)but what about oil? 440 engine. What brand gauges I should use? Going with the oldschool look.

I was thinking using this tach: http://www.sunpro.com/product_detail.php?pid=16513
So this kit should look good with the tach? http://www.amazon.com/Sunpro-CP7996-Triple-Gauge-Kit/dp/B00029JZYG

I put under dash gauges in all 3 Chargers...I don't trust the stock gauges, even though they work....all the stock ones say is "C" & "H" for the water temp.....how do you  know what cold & hot is?? Same with the oil gauge...there is another oil pressure plug at the back of the engine on a big block....no need to remove OE sender for OE oil gauge....also, you can use one of the coolant passages in the water pump for an after market temp sender

I only put 2 in the cream 66 & the Daytona....the black 66 has 3 gauges

As another option I put mine in the ashtray area.  I don't smoke and didn't like them hanging down into leg room.  Plus I had my 8 track player from high school mounted there already.  Fit right in and the ashtray can always go back in later if you want to take the gauges out.  Only thing it blocked was the lighter receptacle for accessories so I couldn't plug in the radar detector there.

Thanks for the input guys! Those gauges look nice! Good to now that there's another oil plug. I wish I could decide what gauges to order now!

These are what I'm probably going to go with in my project.  A lot more pricey but I want the warning and other options too.  Although I'm making a custom dash plate for them so everything will be closer to eye level, if you have someting nearer the floor think how much really you'll be not noticing a sudden drop while your driving and watching the road unless you notice after something detrimental happens first--even at the stock dash locations.  I try to monitor the gauges as much as possible but in reality there are a lot more distractions that take my attention so I like the option to put in an immediate attention getter warning buzzer or whatever but it costs.  Just something to think about and add to your decision.

That's all true but I like the stock cluster and the autometer gauge plastic pointers cracked so I don't want another custom cluster. These Marshall gauges to look good tho!  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-Gauge-Set-Cuda-Challenger-Rallye-Style-Dials-6864-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563d747eb3QQitemZ370398232243QQptZVintageQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
