when i was in germany back in the late 80's i found a stash of coins dated from WW2 with swastikas and such on them.  they have been packed away for years now so i don't have pics.  they are very light weight, so much so that you would think they are play money.  years ago i bought some books on coins but couldn't find them inside the books.  i didn't want to take them to a coin store and get .20 on the dollar but would like to know if they could be applied to an engine fund in this economy
they are probably some kind of play money but i was thinking with the war effort building weapons and such that they wouldn't want to waste real metal on coins so maybe they could be real??

Well, the cool thing is we have members from Germany.  Maybe they will chime in.  In this economy, ANY extra cash is good to have.

If they are silver they are worth at least their weight in silver. I seen ones with holes go for big bucks though. Check out eBay and see what you got. Heres a couple pics i seen on there.

A lot of the money that germany printed was near worthless during WWII. There are some though that were made in limited numbers or mistakes and such.

Ive got a Japanese 5 Peso Bill, and it's worthless :D
