So for those of us that don't know the whole story what's up with " the old site "?
I've heard of it but don't know the history. Please explain.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Basically there remains a lot of anger over money that was sent to the Original website towards the purchase of T-shirts but never returned... The site froze up in increasingly more frequent and longer intervals as Jessie the original site's founder struggled with "personal/family"  problems, Troy (Thank Goodness!) was one of the instrumental parties to regain some though not all of the "Lost" info. and reconstituted the site as we know it today, there were others who attempted to help - most of whom I forget now - But Todd (of Damn Todd! Not another Truck!? fame) was also quite helpful though Troy, was actually able to rebuild the site using the same simple machines forum that retained the look and feel of the old site. And that is the short version.
Personally I harbor no ill will towards Jessie and I'm very sorry his personal life went into the crapper,.. and it's also quite unfortunate he's not the only one in the past decade or so we've seen hit hard times.  :-\ or even passover to the other side. But Troy is well suited to head this site, I don't think anyone could complain - except of course those newbies who attempt to post pictures...
The site referred to in this thread is not the Orig. www.dodge-charger.com site. BTW...

Chargerforums is a new charger (lx) forum, not the old site. But yeah...its pretty bad w all the ads. They get a ton of traffic, so they gotta make $ to keep them going somehow.

:scratchchin: PM sent as this is way too personal for public consumption...  :shruggy:

anyhow, the ads are way more pervasive these days,.. pop ups load and sometimes you have to wait for ads. to finish before you can see anything, some site like ALLPAR are absolutely ridiculous with the amount of ads for Toyota's and chevies between that and the "Quotes" folks make for every thread, less then 5% of any given page contains any original content,.. my God man!! the bandwidth!!! think of all the little pixels!!!!  :eek2:

really makes you appreciate this The Best Site on the Interwebs!!!   :2thumbs:

This may not be the right spot, but kinda ties into the discussion. Will not get into the details, but Troy was informed of a deal I recently did. As an ideal, if members give a part to another member for just shipping charges, he or she can have said member send the shipping charges to Troy, as a donation to the site, or can send it yourself.  This will help in the maintenance of the site, or if Troy wants he could start a fund & then donate said funds to a worthy cause in the sites name. May not be much, & nobody is going to get rich on a few bucks for shipping, anyway just an idea. :Twocents:.  By the way Troy, I am still waiting for the info.

this is the only.... and i mean ONLY site I would ever donate too..... I love it here!
