Does anyone have any real experience with any EFI systems? I've been searching around and found some info on FAST but not much on Professional Products.

If I do make the switch I think I will go with one of these but I don't know anything about the companies or the products. I'd rather pay a couple more dollars and get the better product/company.

It would be going on a mild 440 build. It might get stroked eventually to 512 but thats way down the road. For now, the carb works great but I'm just looking at some options for down the road. I like performance but I love dependability so EFI might be better for me.

Any real world experience with any of these products? How are the companies with customer service? I've seen their websites and seen the articles but I want to know how much of that is true... Thanks guys

FastManEFI has a great reputation. :2thumbs:

The man behind it is Rich Nedbal. He's a member here on DC, fastmanefi. Rarely posts though, posts more often over at moparts, there he is Mopar_Rich. His expertise is extraordinary, and he has a lifetime of racing, engine building, parts designing, and knowing damn everything about EFI, Mopars and Hemis.

He is a straight shooter and will answer every question you can think of. Patience, he can be tough to get ahold of. His business e-mail is richnedbal@msn.com and his phone is 209-247-6497.

I have heard good things about Rich and FAST. The fact that he is a member here and knows mopars makes me much more willing to go his route even if it cost more.

I would like to hear from anyone with real life experience with any of these products.

I think the 2 options I have narrowed it down to are Professional Products which does not require so much wiring and no return line vs FAST EZ-EFI which cost a little more and has more install time. I would love to hear about both.

PLEASE PLEASE post. Good, bad or indifferent about the products. Thanks

I have an Electromotive Tec3 controller for mine, but if I had nothing I'd give very serious consideration to the FAST box. I haven't dug deep enough into the FAST box capabilities, and I haven't got the Electromotive setup running so I have to go into the 'indifferent' category.  :shruggy: I very much like the self-learning wide-band capability, which the Electromotive box doesn't have-I'll have to do all the tuning by hand on the laptop. (Which is a large part of why I chose to use EFI at all)

Hey guys. Just wanted to let everyone know I just got an email back from Rich from FastManEFI...about 2 hours after I sent him one. Thats customer service and I'm not even a customer....yet.

He was able to help answer some questions I had mostly dealing with a comparison table that Professional Products has on their website comparing EZ-EFI and Powerjection.

PP says that you can use a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous with their system but not with FAST's EZ-EFI.
-Rich says thats true because you need more control to not cause engine damage. FAST does have a system for that.
-I think PP may say you can use a supercharger etc. but don't say anything about preventing engine damage. So I think FAST is protecting you and PP is just advertising.

PP says it will work with under 8" of manifold vacuum.
   - Rich says it doesn't matter. He got technical here and it was over my head.
   - I think PP is just saying something to make it sound better.

PP has their injectors above the butterflies
   - Rich says this is what GM used to do and it works except with our radical cams which can cause the spray to        bounce back at idle and cause a backfire
   - PP advertises this as a good thing....when it's not.

He mentioned a few other things but overall he was really informative. I was impressed.

I'm still looking for some real world experience on any of the systems if anyone has any. FAST does look like a good option. Professional Products still looks capable...just not as great as they make themselves out to be.
