Don't know the people involved but can't be anything worse then getting homeless during
christmasholiday.

That sucks, looked like a beautiful house.  It can be rebuilt most important all are safe.  Sucks though.

He lives just a couple of miles away. When the story first broke, no mention of who's house it was, but it struck me as a tragedy. Eventually the details became clear.

To make matters worse, Dennis was out of town with is gravely ill mother.

Sad way to spend the holidays.

Thats sad. Least no one got hurt, and his cars and stuff survived.

I'm speechless... Poor Dennis. This is never a good thing and right before Christmas makes it that much worse!

He also has several t-birds.

Yeah, this sucks.
I guess he could probably afford a new house, but still he probably lost all of his belongings.
