Is this feasible? What is involved?  Is it just a matter of getting some soda and dumping it in or do you need a special blaster?

I have used regular baking soda you can buy in the grocery store to blast delicate things like Carb bodies before...Works GREAT! However, I don't know how it would work in a blast cabinet....

So you don't need a special blaster?

If it DOES matter...I would think that just the tip would be the only difference  IF it  matters....I believe you can use any type of media in a blast cabinet though

I don't think it would matter but if your cabinet leaks with any other media I would think it would really leak with that stuff. When the glass breaks down far enough in my cabinet it's got about the same consistency as baking soda and it leaks like a sieve.
