The Death proof Charger...did i own it????

  Here are some pics for you to decide , i sold it to the Stuidos as a roller with ('1970 ) door shells, decklid and a 64 castle nut diff, for $1700 about 3 and a half years ago? i believe. I really have no proof so no one call me out on it, but i live 60 miles from Los Angeles and the time line fits, it never really occured to me to me till i saw Mad Mike crashed and saw the F8 green with the shot with the door panel missing . He are pics..and i can supply more pics,

It's in the special features section on the DVD and I can't remember now. It was after a few shots and lots of laughter.    I'll watch it again and post.

In one of the close up scenes beside the driver door, you can clearly see orange paint peeking from underneath the black paint flaking off around the door handle in the movie...Tarentino was paying respect to the DOH with the wheels and orange paint underneath, just as he was with the 1970 Challenger in white...

Need that many?  No.
Destroy that many?  No.    

Possibly buy that many?  Yes.  


A couple of hacked-up process cars for camera access, a pair of nicer "hero" cars, probably half a dozen stunt cars by the time all was said and done, etc.  Remember they did a jump, a rollover, several stages of visible body damage, etc.  And the building process usually means they hastily buy more cars than they intend to deliver on the set at one time.  Some end up being parts donors, they do a couple model-year conversions, etc.  I'm sure they never had a dozen cars lined up in a row on the set at any time but they could have easily had a dozen total VIN numbers involved in the shoot.

I really had no idea they used that many Chargers, mine was F5, was a F code 318 non air, but was smashed in the front and had a R4 26" core support as in pic along with hinges. It also had doors from a F8 70 Charger R/T (still had vin on door). was a factory column but was converted to floor shift
