I have been looking at these for a while.....I bought a Fender Road Worn 50's Stratocaster,,,(sunburst),,

(i have a 81 Fender Strat sunburst ,,, that i bought new,,)

The Road Worn strat is AWESOME.....I love it....
Very cool,,,looks "beat up" per se',,,but plays like butter,,,feels great,,,nice neck,,good frets,,body is "aged" and "worn" looking,,,,very impressed with this guitar,,,,

Needs a bit more setup on the truss rod,,etc,,,just minor stuff ...

Got a good deal,,,actually went thru Guitar Center,,,they had 2 of them for sale,,,

Anyone else out there with these ?,,,if not,,check em out....

I could never afford a REAL 50's strat,,,,,several thousands

The "relic"'s are really expensive,,,few thousand,,,

But the road worn fills the bill for me.....

i put in some pics.....

Action is good,,,,needs some minor setup,,,but plays well,,,nice tall frets (compared to what came on a "real" 50's )

The new "Road Worn" is a fine guitar and you are a lucky man to get one.  You will love it.

LOVE the strat. they play better when there worn. but humbuckers. not on a strat. gotta love the single coil sound. humbuckers on a les-paul all the way. just nothing like the blues sound of a strat. run it through a marshall cranked up to 11. now thats rock n roll
