Unfortunatley during my resto the drivers window was badly scratched and needs to be replaced. I've read some threads about substandard glass out there and don't want that headache. What sources are out there for OEM thickness glass or is it simply a matter of buying from a local auto glass company? Thanks

Sydmoe what's up? How you doing? I hope you're getting back to your old self after your hospital vacation! Thank you for the AMD tip, I was looking through my AMD catalog this morning for glass but it isn't covered in my copy.
Can you believe it? I finish the resto of my car only to discover the shop ran the window up and down with no felts in place!!! :flame: At least the other glass is OK.
I can't prove it so the cost falls to me. Happy Holidays to you and the family.

Tan Top, I'm not sure who you were thinking had problems with AMD glass but 6 members gave it thumbs up in this thread

D'oH  :slap:  what am i thinking of then :scratchchin:

:scratchchin: sure i have read this somewhere , perhaps it was on moparts then ,  & or some other company & not AMD  , it was something about it not being the same thickness &  not enough curve to the glass ,
if i imagined this , sorry for the dud info  :yesnod::cheers:

You might be thinking of when I mentioned that some of the aftermarket glass for Aussie Chargers was out of shape.

Or, in the same thread I posted the link, someone complained about buying glass from Year One and it being a problem.

Now that you mention YO, I think that was the source of substandard glass.
