Rear axle too long?

Hello I have 73 Dodge Charger. There is 8 3/4 rear end with 489 casing.

I have new Moser Engineering A30-CST-B71 rear axles. And new MO400 green bearings.

I have installed bearings but now it seems that axles are too long. Inside the casing those will touch and I'm not able to place other bearing to correct position.

Is it okay to cut other axle little bit shorter or do I have to cut both axle little bit. Because other side is already installed I would not like to take everything off and cut it. That is why I'm asking is it okay to cut just from other axle? Need to cut about 7mm / 0.275 inch.

30 5/8" is the correct length for the '73 axle shaft, have you measured them?

If both shafts are the same length and are too long it would better to remove the same amount from each axle rather than to remove the needed amount from one axle only.

Some axle makers purposely make the shafts a little long when using Green bearings because they expect you to remove the center thrust block/buttons.
