I don't know how I missed this thread. Glad to see you got the car back, and getting it completed. Could have been a lot worse too I guess.
I love white over blue.

Here is the back of the car...have front wheel lip trim on..have to drill and install the rear trim (new rear full q"s). I still have to glue the rear vinyl and attach checks. Thanks for all the great comments...it's getting closer everyday!!

OK....

Here are some updated photos....the charger resto story is just about closed!! I followed the link on this site for the application of the rear r/t stripe and the hood whiteouts. For those of you wondering about installing your own stripe...it is very doable! I took the car down for a nice wet sand and a few touch ups. And followed that with buffing and some hand glazing...and buffing....and the paint really looks good (at least to me). I drilled the rear wheel chrome and have tinkered witha few small things...the hood blinker repop lenses had to be shaved a bit to fit in there right.... still have two a/c lines to clean and install...and the r/t emblem in the grille.

I had the old carb rebuilt and it was taking a few squirts of starting fluid to get going...once I put the choke on the carb it solved that problem (hope that helps for some of you wondering if the choke is worth it!). Starts no problem now on its own! Once again, I appreciate all the help from everyone on here! From parts to advice....to just chatting cars! For my first resto - I had some ups and downs....and the situation in Kentucky was just a shame. For those of you following that ordeal - I have appreciated your support! The car isnt perfect....but it a joy to turn the key after all this and see the heads turn!!

I am onto my next project...71 Challenger Convert.
