I have a 71 RT. Build sheet says it was special order.  FC7, louvered hood, 440 auto, In the body shop right now on a rotisserie. All original except for the block (and paint).  I've read somewhere there were only 203 purple rt's in 71.  What will this be worth when finished?

Hard to tell until we all see a finished product? Check a classic car price guide to get a rough idea and keep looking on eBay.

And as far as knowing how many purple ones there were, Chrysler just didn't break their numbers down that way.  In other owrds, no one knows for certain.

You will just have to get an appraisal when it's finished. If you have all the reciepts and document the resto your insurance should agree. You could put it on ebay to test the waters but not a true value since it would just someone would give at that time. Most people value their car more then the next buyer would :Twocents:
