I have not seen anyone that repops a metal hood for the 70 charger but I did buy a fiberglass repop since my hood was so far gone and beyond repair. I believe I bougt mine thru glasstek.

The 1970 front clip was a one-year deal and that really kills the feasibility of repopping things.  And the Challenger also took its first bite out of the Charger's sales that year.  The market for 1970 Charger parts is not much more than 50,000 original cars.

If anyone hears when a company starts making new 70 Charger hoods..please post or if you know of someone in the San Francisco area who has a 70 hood for sale, please email me. I want to see the hood in person before I buy it. :coolgleamA:
Thank you! :o

Anybody use a fiberglass hood and is ok with it or regrets it?  :'(

They only made 46,576 1970 Chargers total so how many are left? Their is only 2,625 registerd over at the 70 site. I do ocasionlly see used ones on ebay or craigs list. Shipping is the killer on those unless your local to the seller.

i have a mint 70 hood i would sell for $500 if someone wants one. it has 0 rust, and is super clean. it can be shipped greyhound for around $100 anywhere in the US, as long as you have a greyhound within a reasonable distance.. mine is 45 minutes away. Let me know if any of you are interested. i bought it as a hood to cut upfor a tunnel ram for my 70 R/T SE but i just refuse to do it..
this isn't a for sale ad, but it seems as if it was an appropriate place to respond.
i live in CHARGERLAND.. visitors welcome. 166 total, 7 still around

As someone mentioned earlier, a company called Glasstek out of Naperville, Illinois (www.glasstek.com) makes fiberglass hoods for the 1970 Charger:
Hood, Pin on:   310.00
Hood, Bolt on:  440.00
In addition they offer the following for the '70 Charger:
Doors, Pair:      640.00
Trunk Lid:        190.00
Rear Bumper:    180.00

I have never done business with them, but perhaps someone on the site has...............
1970 Daytona Charger SE "clone" (440/Auto)
1967 Charger (360,6-pak/Auto)
2008 Challenger SRT8 BLK (6.1/Auto) 6050 of 6400
