repairing window channel

i have a about one inch section of widow channel  a little rusted out hows the best way to reapair these spots

  im tryin to turn my screen while tilting my head so i can look at the pic. when my head got far enough over, i realized what part of the window it was. but agree 100% cut and weld. just got tickled with my head bent over.

3rd Gen is probably much different.  2nd gen the bends are 90 in the channel and 120 to meet the deck filler panel.
helps to have a shrinker and stretcher, but you can snip relief cuts, bend/beat in the radius, and tack weld back together

the part im needing to repair is on the side above the door where the trim fastens down in the recess
