Chrysler closes Engine Plant In Keosha (Last of the AMC buildings)

The plant is the last remaining functioning building from the old AMC (American Motors Corporation) plant. It originally opened in 1917. They were making the V6 engines for Chrysler cars, mini vans and trucks.

Did you mean the last of the AMC plants in Wisconsin or all of them because the Bramalea plant began under AMC I believe.

Last in Wisconsin. But from everything I heard about it, It was the original AMC plant. They torn down most of it in 1988 & '89 and turned the are into a park and boat marina. I hauled a lot of big rock into that job.

I miss the Javelin Restaurant, which was close by.   I have heard it's long gone.   They had a cool sign out front.
