Here is a great thread on Moparts and I am about to order the Standard Hy-lift Johnson lifter, not the heavy duty one, for my 440 that will be running stock rocker arms, along with my new Eddy 440 Performer Heads and Engle K58/60 hyd. flat tappet cam, with specs of 230/238, .514/.537 lift at .050 on a 112 lsa.

I want to make sure these are top notch hyd. lifters, every bit of good if not better than its Comp. hyd. lifter counter-parts. Keep in mind I will be running their standard high performance lifter and not there Heavy duty (Hy-Lift Jonhson Lifters).

Here is a decent thread on Moparts regarding these lifters:

Thanks in advance!!

Can anyone confirm that these are the same high performance hyd lifers that Comp buys from Johnson Hy-lift and resells under their Comp labeL (as I have heard that from 2 two decent sources now)?

As far as I know, but I could be wrong here, because my Info is very dated  ?
There is only 2 Lifter Manufacturers/Plants still producing Lifters here in the Continental USA for aftermarket resales.
1 is "Johnson",
and the 2nd,
is part of the Hayes/DANA Conglomerate, operating under "I Think", what is known as "Wolverine/Blue Racer" Line of aftermarket products ?

Anybody else, CompCams included, are probably Re-Boxing, those above manufacturers Lifters ?

Surprisingly, I did here that Iskenderian(Isky cams), have some Lifter Manufacturing Tooling, as well as CraneCams, but it is for very specialized applications and very low production.
It also wouldn't surprise me, being as Large as they are now, if CompCams don't now actually Manufacture their own Lifters ?
They seem to be doing EVERYTHING else ?

Only way to know for sure, would be to start phoning around and actually asking ?
"IF" they will give you a straight answer is questionable ?
