Proper routing for power brake booster hose?

I've got a '68 440 with automatic transmission and power brakes.  What do you guys consider to be the correct routing for the vacuum hose from the intake manifold to the brake booster?   The restoration manual I'm using shows 2 methods: 1) The hose makes a right angle bend at the manifold and runs straight over to the booster.  2) The hose makes a U-turn coming out of the manifold, runs under the acelerator braket mounted to the intake manifold, over the top of the valve cover, and over to the booster.  I remember some being that way when I was wrenching back in the sixties, but it seems to me the hose could kink at the U-turn.   If #2 is the "most correct" method, would someone have a picture of the routing with the air cleaner removed?  Thanks in advance for your help.

No 1 is correct for most applications and the original hose was molded so there was no kinking problem.

acelerator bracket has a hole provision to pass through the hose

Does anyone sell the original style molded hose?

Nacho, the bracket for my early build '68 has no hole, but I know what you're referring to.  Possibly that style started with '69 models.

'69 had no holes in the bracket.....I think maybe '71 & up....
Heres my '69 routing....under the bracket.

to my knowledge no one sells a molded hose....just the restamped/numbered hose that is straight
