I ran this picture by my friend at work who is a professional photographer on the side and he said it looks real to him all day long.  And you can see above the passenger side headlight where the fender trim is bent down into the light.  Its not straight across like the drivers side.   :Twocents:

well i guess thats that. too bad for the guy.

The engine could be fubar too depending on how much crap worked its way from the pan to the top end. I see a valve cover and gasket on the floor; I wonder how long before he had a pool of oil. :rotz:

This really sucks. If I were rich I'd own one of those Camaros and a Chevelle from that era too; nice looking cars IMO. If it were a 82 Chevette I'd be ok with it.

I can't imagine why the valve cover is off. It looks like you would turn it over to work on it. Falling like that shouldn't affect the engine.

In 87 I was working at an Olds dealer and the setup kid had the same thing happen to an  ordered Olds 442.  I ended up repairing the car and replaced all the sheet metal except the left side.  The customer reordered the same exact car and wanted to see them both together so they knew they didn't get stuck with the wreck. The dealers son drove the car for a couple of years after so I know there were no complaints about what I did to it.

It's real.  When it happened, there were photos of the right side damage once the car was righted.     Happened some time ago, maybe a year or two.

Man that sucks and it's an SS to boot. That looks like a big block valve cover too. What a shame.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Is there any more photos maybe showing what the side damage looks like now?

In the future when I finally get a lift it'll most likely be a Challenger lift.  That's what my buddy had/has.

Well, like I said, you don't want the junk that usually collects in the pan (the stuff the pickup screen leaves behind) to migrate to the top end. Let's just say it's best that everything stays upright.
